We are looking for a dedicated SPANISH BILINGUAL Payroll Specialist to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will manage and oversee payroll processes for a large workforce, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. This is a long-term contract position that offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic work environment and grow professionally. Responsibilities:• Review employee timesheets to confirm accuracy and ensure proper data entry into payroll systems.• Process payroll transactions, including direct deposits, paper checks, and wage garnishments.• Generate and distribute reports related to timekeeping, payroll, benefits, and garnishments.• Manage vacation calculations for union and non-union staff, adhering to company-specific policies.• Oversee payroll technology systems, including software and hardware, ensuring smooth operations.• Train managers, new hires, and frontline staff on payroll system usage and application access.• Adjust employee compensation for raises, bonuses, and other changes based on contractual agreements.• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly and effectively to maintain employee satisfaction.• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, garnishments, and benefits distribution processes.

• Prior experience in payroll processing or accounting functions is preferred but not mandatory. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to handle large volumes of data. • Proficiency in payroll software systems such as Ceridian, Kronos, or similar platforms. • Excellent mathematical and analytical abilities to manage calculations and reporting. • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and verbal, is essential. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining flexibility. • Familiarity with payroll-related regulations, tax laws, and employee benefits administration. • Willingness to learn new processes and adapt to changes in payroll technology.
