We are looking for a skilled Revenue Accountant to join our team in Bloomington, Minnesota, on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring accurate revenue recognition and compliance with accounting standards, while working closely with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting and analysis. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with expertise in revenue accounting and a strong understanding of contract compliance.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare detailed monthly revenue analyses for long-term development contracts, adhering to established revenue recognition policies and accounting standards.<br>• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to gather updates on customer programs, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and alignment with financial plans.<br>• Support inventory and work-in-process accounting by consolidating data from various sources in a manual reporting environment.<br>• Enhance deferred revenue processes and reporting by identifying opportunities for improvement.<br>• Review customer contracts to extract and interpret performance obligations, presenting relevant information to auditors and internal teams.<br>• Manage manual reporting tasks, including pulling Tableau reports, handling complex Excel workbooks, and downloading system queries.<br>• Ensure accurate accounting treatment for contract assets and liabilities, applying a thorough understanding of relevant principles.

• Proficiency in revenue accounting, including experience with ASC 606 standards.<br>• Strong analytical skills to evaluate revenues and ensure compliance with contracts.<br>• Familiarity with manual reporting environments and tools such as Tableau and Excel.<br>• Ability to interpret and apply performance obligations within customer contracts.<br>• Experience in deferred revenue processes and improvements.<br>• Knowledge of inventory and work-in-process accounting.<br>• Excellent communication skills for collaboration across departments and presenting findings to auditors.
