We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Baltimore, Maryland. If you thrive in dynamic environments and are skilled in accounting practices, this role will enable you to enhance your expertise while contributing to impactful financial projects.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage month-end closing processes, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date.<br>• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.<br>• Perform account reconciliations, including bank statements, to identify and resolve discrepancies.<br>• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing.<br>• Conduct detailed analysis of financial data to support decision-making and strategic planning.<br>• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulations while preparing financial reports.<br>• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to support financial audits and reviews.<br>• Provide mentorship and guidance to entry-level accounting staff, fostering growth and development.<br>• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel tools to streamline reporting and analysis.<br>• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in accounting workflows.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.<br>• Minimum of 2 years of general accounting experience in a detail-oriented setting.<br>• Proven expertise in month-end close, general ledger management, and journal entries.<br>• Strong proficiency in account and bank reconciliations.<br>• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and data analysis.<br>• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.<br>• Preferred but not required: certifications such as CPA or other relevant credentials.
