Medical Collections Specialist Job Description

Medical collections specialists must be detail-oriented multitaskers who work well under pressure. They should also have strong interpersonal and communication skills and a proven record of providing excellent customer service. Knowledge of EOB forms for collections purposes and of the appeals process for healthcare claims is required. Organizations typically look for candidates with at least five years of experience in collections at healthcare providers.
