Public Staff Tax Accountant
We are looking for a skilled Public Staff Tax Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Woodinville, Washington. In this role, you will play a crucial part in handling tax filings, reconciliations, and compliance processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in tax preparation and reporting within the financial services industry.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare and file 1099 and W-2/W-3 forms using Yearli software.<br>• Manage quarterly state tax filings and ensure timely submission.<br>• Conduct annual reconciliations to maintain compliance with tax regulations.<br>• Handle individual and corporate tax returns with precision and accuracy.<br>• Collaborate with team members to streamline tax preparation processes.<br>• Review and resolve discrepancies in tax filings and accounts.<br>• Ensure compliance with federal and state tax requirements.<br>• Provide support during audits or reviews by organizing and presenting necessary documents.<br>• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate reporting.
• At least 2 years of experience in tax accounting or a related field.<br>• Proficiency in preparing individual and corporate tax returns.<br>• Knowledge of 1099 and W-2/W-3 filings and associated processes.<br>• Familiarity with quarterly tax filings and annual reconciliations.<br>• Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations.<br>• Experience using Yearli software or similar platforms for tax reporting.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.<br>• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
