We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our client in Seattle, Washington. In this contract position, you will play a key role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and driving strategic decision-making through data-driven insights. This role requires a proactive leader skilled in accounting, financial planning, and team management within a dynamic environment. Responsibilities:• Serve as the primary financial leader, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial reporting and accounting practices.• Develop and implement comprehensive financial policies, internal controls, and accounting systems to support organizational efficiency.• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes to align with company objectives.• Collaborate with leadership to evaluate company performance, profitability, and operational efficiency.• Provide detailed financial modeling and analysis to inform strategic decisions, investments, and contract negotiations.• Identify and communicate financial risks, trends, and opportunities to the management team.• Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and job costing.• Oversee the monthly and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.• Prepare and distribute financial statements and performance dashboards for management review.• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and coordinate with external auditors and financial institutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. • At least 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management within manufacturing, construction, or project-based industries. • Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and advanced knowledge of Excel. • Exceptional analytical and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Proven capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a high-performing team. • Familiarity with job cost accounting and contract financial management preferred.
