Sr. Accountant
<p>We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant and a Controller to oversee and manage the preparation of financial reports, cash flow forecasts, and income statements for assigned properties. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Director to ensure accuracy in financial documentation and compliance with established standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial health and operational efficiency of a dynamic organization in the hospitality industry.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Prepare accurate financial statements and supporting schedules for monthly reviews of assigned entities.</p><p>• Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with established procedures.</p><p>• Review and reconcile daily income journals and cash summaries, identifying discrepancies and addressing issues promptly.</p><p>• Analyze vendor aging reports and monitor cash flow for voucher payments in collaboration with accounts payable staff.</p><p>• Perform detailed analysis of the general ledger and trial balances as required by the Director of Accounting.</p><p>• Develop journal entries with appropriate documentation and descriptions to ensure consistency and accuracy.</p><p>• Complete tax filings, including sales and use tax, real estate, personal property, and annual business licenses.</p><p>• Attend monthly financial meetings to review critiques and collaborate with operational teams for strategic improvements.</p><p>• Conduct regular inventory audits and adhere to established inventory policies.</p><p>• Support the Director of Accounting and Controller with special projects and initiatives aligned with organizational goals.</p>
<p>• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality, real estate or related industry.</p><p>• Proficiency in month-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.</p><p>• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation.</p><p>• Experience with bank reconciliations and cash flow management.</p><p>• Ability to analyze and streamline accounting processes for improved efficiency.</p><p>• Familiarity with tax filings such as sales and use tax, real estate tax, and business licenses.</p><p>• Advanced proficiency in Excel and other accounting software tools.</p><p>• Excellent communication and organizational skills to collaborate effectively across departments., real estate </p>
