We are looking for a highly skilled Plant Controller to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this role, you will oversee financial operations within the manufacturing plant, ensuring accurate reporting, cost management, and compliance with accounting standards. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in cost accounting and financial analysis, particularly within the manufacturing industry. Responsibilities: • Manage all aspects of financial reporting and analysis for the manufacturing plant. • Oversee cost accounting processes, including standard costing and variance analysis. • Reconcile inventory accounts, balance sheets, and bank statements to ensure accurate financial data. • Maintain fixed asset records and review depreciation schedules. • Handle month-end and year-end closings, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. • Collaborate with department managers to analyze budgets and control costs effectively. • Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts to assist with strategic decision-making. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. • Monitor and post payments, ensuring proper allocation and reconciliation. • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and resolving inquiries.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing cost accounting or a similar role. • Strong expertise in standard cost accounting and month-end close processes. • Proficiency in financial systems such as Eaton or similar platforms. • Solid understanding of reconciling balance sheets, bank statements, and inventory accounts. • Experience managing fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. • Advanced proficiency in Excel and other accounting tools. • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
