We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our client's team in Portland Metro, Oregon. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to play a critical role in overseeing financial operations and ensuring accurate reporting within a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities:• Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial statements.• Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are correctly recorded.• Conduct thorough balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and budgeting initiatives.• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies in all financial reporting.• Provide analysis and insights on financial performance to support strategic decision-making.• Supervise and mentor accounting staff to foster growth and ensure operational efficiency.• Utilize ERP system to streamline accounting processes and improve financial reporting.• Monitor manufacturing cost accounting processes to ensure accurate costing and inventory management.• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the financial operations of the organization.

• Proven experience as a Controller or similar role within a manufacturing environment.• Strong expertise in month-end close processes and general ledger management.• Proficiency in balance sheet account reconciliations and financial analysis.• Familiarity with ERP systems or similar accounting software.• Solid understanding of accounting principles and standards, including GAAP.• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.• Ability to lead and mentor accounting staff effectively.• Active or inactive CPA certification is strongly preferred.
