We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our client's team in the Portland Metro area. This is a long-term contract position within the wholesale distribution industry, offering an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual to oversee key accounting functions and manage audit processes. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in financial operations. Responsibilities:• Lead and manage the fieldwork for annual external audits, ensuring all requirements are met in a timely and organized manner.• Oversee tax filings, including K-1 forms, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.• Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations to maintain accuracy in general ledger activities.• Assist in preparing consolidated workbooks and supporting financial documentation for audits.• Conduct bank adjustments and provide oversight for monthly financial close processes.• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements by performing detailed reviews.• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and enhance operational efficiency.• Provide leadership and guidance on regular accounting functions, supporting the team in achieving organizational goals.

• Proven experience in managing month-end close processes and general ledger activities. • Strong knowledge of financial statement audits and annual external audit procedures. • Expertise in account reconciliation and journal entry reviews. • Familiarity with federal tax regulations and K-1 tax filings. • Proficiency in working with consolidated financial workbooks and Oracle systems. • Excellent organizational and project management skills to oversee audits and accounting processes. • Ability to analyze and resolve complex accounting issues efficiently. • Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external auditors.
