File Clerk
We are looking for a dedicated File Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Sterling, Virginia. In this role, you will assist with organizing and maintaining critical HR files while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. This position requires attention to detail, physical capability to lift boxes, and proficiency with basic data entry tasks.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Organize and maintain physical and electronic filing systems to ensure documents are easily accessible.<br>• Handle confidential files with care, labeling and categorizing them appropriately.<br>• Prepare documents for shipping and ensure proper tracking of outgoing files.<br>• Perform basic data entry tasks using Microsoft Excel to update records and maintain accuracy.<br>• Lift and move file boxes weighing up to 35 pounds as needed for organization and storage.<br>• Scan and digitize paper files for electronic storage.<br>• Collaborate with team members to streamline filing processes and improve efficiency.<br>• Ensure compliance with company policies regarding document handling and confidentiality.
• At least 1 year of office experience, preferably in a filing or administrative role.<br>• Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 35 pounds.<br>• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for basic data entry tasks.<br>• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.<br>• Experience with paper filing and electronic filing systems.<br>• Ability to handle confidential documents professionally.<br>• Good work ethic and ability to follow instructions accurately.
