Sr. Accountant
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in St. Cloud, Minnesota. This role is key to ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and supporting budget and forecasting activities. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of accounting principles and demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with leadership and other departments.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage financial reporting processes, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.<br>• Maintain and oversee the general ledger, perform account and bank reconciliations, and ensure timely and accurate reporting.<br>• Assist in budgeting and forecasting efforts by analyzing financial data and providing critical insights to support strategic planning.<br>• Collaborate with the Controller and other managers to address financial inquiries and contribute to special projects.<br>• Develop and implement improved procedures to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.<br>• Provide training and cross-training opportunities for staff in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.<br>• Support the year-end review process and prepare necessary documentation for audits.<br>• Conduct complex reporting transactions and provide guidance to ensure proper financial practices.<br>• Optimize resource utilization and workflows to improve overall departmental performance.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.<br>• Proficiency in managing month-end close processes and general ledger activities.<br>• Strong skills in preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.<br>• Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting.<br>• Familiarity with NetSuite or similar accounting software.<br>• Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.<br>• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.<br>• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively across teams.
