Member Service Representative
We are looking for a dedicated Member Service Representative to join our team in Somerville, Massachusetts. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service to credit union members while handling financial transactions and inquiries. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for assisting clients and ensuring accuracy in daily operations.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Provide exceptional customer service to credit union members by addressing inquiries and resolving concerns.<br>• Process routine financial transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments with precision.<br>• Open new accounts for both new and existing members, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience.<br>• Promote and cross-sell credit union services, including electronic banking options and debit cards.<br>• Accept loan applications, process requests, and disburse approved loans in compliance with policies.<br>• Handle cash transactions, maintain accurate balances, and perform vault teller responsibilities.<br>• Ensure adherence to federal and state banking regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering requirements.<br>• Assist with debit card processing, including ordering cards, reviewing activity, and addressing member concerns.<br>• Support inventory management and perform duties related to retail sales operations as needed.<br>• Take on additional tasks as assigned to support team operations.
• Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a financial or retail setting.<br>• Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail and accuracy.<br>• Familiarity with banking regulations and compliance standards.<br>• Ability to promote and explain banking products and services effectively.<br>• Proficiency in processing financial transactions and account management.<br>• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with members professionally.<br>• Capability to handle sensitive financial data with confidentiality.<br>• High level of organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
