We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team for a short-term contract position based in Sarasota, Florida. In this role, you will play a vital part in preparing and amending Form 941 filings for the previous two years, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payroll tax requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail to contribute to a focused project while collaborating directly with our onsite team. Responsibilities: • Prepare and update historical Form 941 filings using accurate payroll and quarterly data. • Ensure precise and timely transfer of employee and payroll details onto required reporting forms. • Collaborate closely with the onsite team to review and refine documentation. • Complete at least one quarter-end report prior to scheduled appointments. • Assist with payroll tax reconciliation and related documentation tasks as needed. • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive payroll and employee information. • Support the team with any additional payroll or accounting tasks as required during the project timeline.

• Proven experience with payroll tax filings, including preparing and amending Form 941 documents. • Proficiency in payroll software and standard accounting systems. • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in all tasks. • Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes. • Knowledge of journal entries and bank reconciliations. • Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines. • Immediate availability to start and commitment to the contract duration.
