Accounting Assistant
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Pinellas Park, Florida. This is a Contract to permanent opportunity, ideal for someone eager to contribute to a growing organization while enhancing their accounting skills. The selected candidate will play a key role in managing daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in record-keeping, and supporting essential accounting processes in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Record and maintain daily financial transactions, including inventory management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.<br>• Process vendor invoices and credit card expenses, ensuring proper coding and documentation of all transactions.<br>• Prepare and post journal entries, accurately assigning general ledger accounts.<br>• Assist in completing month-end closing procedures and preparing related reports.<br>• Conduct bank reconciliations and provide support during transitions to new banking systems.<br>• Collaborate with leadership to understand business operations and streamline accounting workflows.<br>• Support the documentation and improvement of accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Proven expertise in transactional accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries.<br>• Familiarity with inventory accounting, cost allocation, and related processes.<br>• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle high volumes of transactions while maintaining accuracy.<br>• Self-motivated and resourceful with a positive approach to problem-solving.<br>• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with management and team members.<br>• Experience in bank reconciliations is preferred.<br>• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar systems is highly desirable.
