We are looking for a highly organized and meticulous Accountant to join our team in Sonoma County, California. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring efficient transaction processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property accounting and a commitment to upholding internal controls and best practices. Responsibilities:• Accurately process and record accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, corporate credit cards, and intercompany transactions in a timely manner.• Conduct thorough account analysis and reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain up-to-date and precise financial records.• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and avoiding errors such as duplicate or mis-coded payments.• Utilize software tools, including Excel and Yardi, to produce accurate and relevant financial reports.• Document accounting procedures and maintain strong internal controls to support best practices.• Monitor and record real estate development costs, as well as track revenues and expenses from grants, donations, and contributions.• Assist with the preparation of periodic and one-time financial reports for management and external stakeholders.• Support the annual financial statement audit process by providing accurate data and documentation.• Build strong relationships with vendors and other stakeholders through clear and effective communication.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on property accounting preferred.• Proficiency in Yardi software for financial management tasks.• Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and general ledger processes.• Proven ability to manage month-end close activities efficiently and accurately.• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.• Advanced proficiency in Excel and other financial reporting tools.• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a commitment to accuracy.• Excellent communication skills to interact with vendors, team members, and external stakeholders.Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field
