We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead and manage the accounting operations of our company in San Rafael, California. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining data integrity, and implementing effective internal controls. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills and financial expertise to support organizational growth and strategic decision-making. Responsibilities: • Oversee the accounting department’s daily operations, including data entry, reconciliation, and financial reporting across income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow. • Develop and maintain documented accounting policies and procedures, while implementing controls to mitigate risks such as credit, treasury, and inventory. • Evaluate current accounting systems and lead the selection and implementation of improved systems when necessary. • Manage the preparation of financial reports, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and alignment with budget guidelines. • Establish and analyze benchmarks to measure company performance, focusing on inventory, revenue, and profitability metrics. • Lead the creation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing regular updates to management on budget variances. • Conduct financial analysis with a focus on inventory, cash flow, treasury management, and profitability. • Collaborate with external auditors by providing necessary documentation and information for annual audits and tax reviews. • Present comprehensive financial reviews and insights to management and board members to aid strategic decision-making. • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government regulations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration is required.• A minimum of ten years of relevant experience in accounting or financial management.• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred.• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.• Exceptional management and supervisory abilities.• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.• Demonstrated organizational and time management capabilities.• Expertise in financial analysis, standard cost accounting, and inventory management.
