Inventory Clerk
We are looking for a meticulous and organized Inventory Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the textile sample supply closet while supporting inventory operations throughout our design studio. This position is essential in ensuring that the design team has access to well-organized and accurately tracked materials, contributing to the overall efficiency of our creative processes.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Organize and maintain the textile sample closet, ensuring all materials are labeled and stored in an accessible manner.<br>• Record new textile samples into the inventory management system promptly and accurately.<br>• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate the reordering of supplies and samples as needed.<br>• Assist designers by sourcing and preparing sample sets for client presentations.<br>• Welcome and professionally interact with clients visiting the studio, ensuring a positive experience.<br>• Manage incoming shipments, verifying contents and properly storing newly delivered materials.<br>• Use ladders safely to access and organize materials located on high shelves.<br>• Collaborate with the operations and design teams to complete ad-hoc inventory or administrative tasks.<br>• Ensure the workspace remains clean, organized, and conducive to productivity.
• Previous experience in inventory management, office organization, or a related field is preferred.<br>• Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.<br>• Interest in textiles, interior design, or a related creative field is an advantage.<br>• Physical ability to lift boxes and safely use ladders to reach elevated storage areas.<br>• Proficiency in learning and using inventory or sample management software.<br>• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused attitude.<br>• Ability to work on-site in a dynamic, design-oriented studio environment.<br>• Comfortable with tasks requiring standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
