Office Manager
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Office Manager to join our team on a contract basis in San Mateo, California. In this role, you will oversee daily office operations, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and efficient workplace environment. You will also coordinate events, manage supplies, and support employees with their in-office needs, contributing to a positive and productive work culture.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee the daily operations of the office, ensuring it remains clean, organized, and safe for all employees.<br>• Welcome and assist visitors by managing access, badges, meeting room arrangements, and other logistical needs.<br>• Act as a point of contact for employee support, resolving any office-related issues to improve their workplace experience.<br>• Coordinate mail collection, distribution, and shipping, ensuring timely handling of all correspondence.<br>• Manage conference room bookings, resolve scheduling conflicts, and ensure meeting spaces are ready for use.<br>• Maintain and replenish office supplies, pantry items, and catering needs to support day-to-day operations.<br>• Provide assistance to satellite offices by coordinating office supplies, snacks, and general administrative tasks.<br>• Collaborate with IT to set up and manage audio-visual equipment for company-wide meetings and events.<br>• Organize and support employee engagement activities, such as social events, wellness programs, and seasonal celebrations.<br>• Facilitate maintenance and repair services for the office, including plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems.
• Proven experience in office management, administration, or a similar role.<br>• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.<br>• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with employees and visitors professionally.<br>• Proficiency in managing office supplies, including inventory and procurement.<br>• Familiarity with coordinating events and managing logistics for company-wide activities.<br>• Basic understanding of accounts payable processes and financial administration.<br>• Ability to handle receptionist duties, such as greeting visitors and managing correspondence.<br>• Experience working with IT and facilities teams to address technical or maintenance issues.
