We are seeking a Patient Billing & Resolution Specialist for a temporary position dedicated to resolving hospital and professional billing issues with a high level of customer care. The Patient Billing & Resolution Specialist will be responsible for ensuring billing accuracy, managing patient accounts, and delivering excellent service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:<ul><li>Respond to HB (Hospital Billing) and PB (Professional Billing) inquiries, including insurance benefits, billing/payment issues, and authorizations.</li><li>Perform timely and efficient self-pay collections via phone and offer payment arrangement options.</li><li>Request and process adjustments, contractual write-offs, bad debt transfers, and presumptive charity determinations.</li><li>Document steps taken on each account accurately and consistently.</li><li>Ensure productivity standards are met by managing daily assigned accounts.</li><li>Follow established policies, procedures, and applicable regulations (federal, state, and local).</li><li>Maintain strong knowledge of billing practices, including third-party payer procedures and requirements.</li><li>Handle technical issues and system navigation with minimal supervision.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>

Education:<ul><li>High School diploma or GED equivalent</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Minimum of 3 years of directly related and progressively responsible experience in healthcare billing or collections</li></ul>Required Skills & Knowledge:<ul><li>Strong understanding of government and non-government payer billing rules, reimbursement regulations, and collections procedures</li><li>Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT-4, ICD-9, HCPCS, and modifier coding</li><li>High attention to detail, follow-through, and problem-solving ability</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Customer service and call center etiquette</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage workload in a remote environment</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)</li><li>Experience with Epic Professional Billing system (preferred)</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Experience with self-pay account management and hospital call centers</li><li>Previous remote work experience</li><li>Background in hospital customer service</li></ul>
