						We are looking for a dedicated and meticulous Accounting Assistant to join our team in Rochester, New York. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, managing daily transactions, and supporting essential accounting functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of bookkeeping practices.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Accurately record and classify daily financial transactions to ensure organized bookkeeping.<br>• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice handling and payment tracking.<br>• Perform reconciliation of bank and credit card statements to maintain financial accuracy.<br>• Maintain well-organized and up-to-date financial documentation for easy access and review.<br>• Prepare and issue invoices while proactively following up on outstanding payments.<br>• Assist in processing payroll and maintaining accurate employee records.<br>• Contribute to month-end and year-end closing activities to meet reporting deadlines.<br>• Generate basic financial reports to provide insights and support decision-making.
					
					
						• Proficiency in managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.<br>• Experience with bank reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy.<br>• Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.<br>• Ability to accurately code invoices and maintain organized records.<br>• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.<br>• Solid understanding of general bookkeeping principles.<br>• Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
