We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Richmond, Virginia. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting knowledge and experience in managing financial transactions, reconciliations, and tax-related tasks. Responsibilities: • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently. • Manage credit card processing and ensure timely expense reporting. • Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate financial data. • Conduct thorough bank reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy. • Perform detailed reconciliations of accounts to support financial reporting. • Prepare corporate tax returns and manage sales tax filings. • Record journal entries to reflect financial activities and adjustments. • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. • Support the organization with expense management and cost analysis.

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience with a focus on detail-oriented work. • Proficiency in corporate tax, sales tax, and corporate tax return preparation. • Solid understanding of general ledger management and journal entries. • Demonstrated expertise in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Experience with bank reconciliations and account reconciliations. • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial records. • Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members. • Familiarity with expense management and credit card processing.
