Sr Financial Reporting Accountant
<p>We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join our team! In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial reports, particularly focusing on public sector financial reporting. This is a long-term contract position offering an opportunity to contribute to the preparation and audit of annual comprehensive financial statements.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Prepare and review the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.</p><p>• Conduct audits and reviews of financial statements to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance.</p><p>• Reconcile accounts, including bank reconciliations and general ledger accounts, to maintain financial accuracy.</p><p>• Collaborate with internal teams to address corrections and ensure proper reconciliation of financial data.</p><p>• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions for data analysis and reporting purposes.</p><p>• Maintain detailed documentation of accounting processes and activities.</p><p>• Ensure all financial reporting aligns with applicable public sector regulations and standards.</p><p>• Provide expertise in financial reporting for high-volume transactions.</p><p>• Support the organization in meeting compliance requirements for financial reporting regulations.</p>
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in public sector financial reporting.<br>• Proven expertise in preparing annual comprehensive financial reports for public sector entities.<br>• Advanced proficiency in account reconciliations, including bank and general ledger accounts.<br>• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.<br>• Familiarity with GASB standards and financial reporting regulations.<br>• Highly detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.<br>• Ability to work effectively in high-volume transactional environments.<br>• Experience ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards and regulations.
