We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to join our team! In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial reports, particularly focusing on public sector financial reporting. This is a long-term contract position offering an opportunity to contribute to the preparation and audit of annual comprehensive financial statements. Responsibilities:• Prepare and review the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.• Conduct audits and reviews of financial statements to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance.• Reconcile accounts, including bank reconciliations and general ledger accounts, to maintain financial accuracy.• Collaborate with internal teams to address corrections and ensure proper reconciliation of financial data.• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions for data analysis and reporting purposes.• Maintain detailed documentation of accounting processes and activities.• Ensure all financial reporting aligns with applicable public sector regulations and standards.• Provide expertise in financial reporting for high-volume transactions.• Support the organization in meeting compliance requirements for financial reporting regulations.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in public sector financial reporting. • Proven expertise in preparing annual comprehensive financial reports for public sector entities. • Advanced proficiency in account reconciliations, including bank and general ledger accounts. • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting. • Familiarity with GASB standards and financial reporting regulations. • Highly detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills. • Ability to work effectively in high-volume transactional environments. • Experience ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards and regulations.
