We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client in Portland, Oregon on a part-time basis. This is a Contract position, offering an opportunity to contribute to key financial operations and processes. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with organizational standards. Responsibilities:• Prepare and post general journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.• Set up new vendor accounts and ensure compliance with organizational procedures.• Perform bank reconciliations to verify account balances and transactions.• Reconcile balance sheets and address discrepancies in a timely manner.• Provide support for month-end close activities, including preparing necessary documentation.• Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance standards within financial processes.• Manage revenue recognition tasks, including document collection and preparation for meetings with the controller.• Utilize financial software tools such as Maconomy, Excel, and Google Sheets to streamline accounting operations.

• Extensive experience with month-end close procedures and financial reporting. • Proficiency in managing general ledger accounts and journal entries. • Strong skills in account reconciliation, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations. • Knowledge of revenue recognition principles and practices. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Google Sheets. • Ability to work with financial software, such as Maconomy. • Excellent organizational and analytical skills to ensure accuracy in financial processes. • Strong understanding of accounting principles and compliance standards.
