Attorney/Lawyer
We are looking for a skilled Attorney/Lawyer to join our team in Oak Brook, Illinois, on a long-term contract basis. This role involves providing legal expertise within the real estate and property industry, with a focus on commercial contracts and real estate agreements. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a corporate environment and a strong background in handling complex vendor agreements, leasing contracts, and property management matters.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Draft, negotiate, and review commercial contracts with a focus on vendor agreements.<br>• Provide legal support for purchase and sale agreements, leasing contracts, and property management agreements.<br>• Ensure compliance with corporate policies while handling contracts exclusively for the parent company.<br>• Offer legal expertise in service contracts related to real estate operations.<br>• Conduct thorough analysis and redlining of contracts to mitigate risks and protect company interests.<br>• Collaborate with internal teams to address legal issues and provide strategic advice.<br>• Handle civil litigation tasks, including drafting motions, briefing, and discovery processes.<br>• Review and draft legal documents related to commercial real estate acquisitions and leases.<br>• Maintain a detailed understanding of real estate brokerage and asset management practices.<br>• Research and stay updated on laws and regulations impacting the real estate sector.
• Must hold a valid license to practice law.<br>• Proven experience drafting, negotiating, and reviewing contracts within the commercial real estate sector.<br>• Strong expertise in civil litigation, including motions, briefing, and discovery.<br>• Proficiency in redlining and analyzing legal documents to identify potential risks.<br>• Solid understanding of real estate acquisitions, leasing agreements, and property management practices.<br>• Familiarity with corporate legal environments and vendor agreements.<br>• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<br>• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
