We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in North Reading, Massachusetts. This role is ideal for someone with a keen attention to detail and a strong background in accounting and financial management, including expertise in real estate accounting. You will work in a dynamic environment, handling manual accounting processes and utilizing advanced Excel skills to support key financial operations. Responsibilities:• Oversee and execute month-end closing procedures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.• Maintain and manage general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are properly recorded.• Prepare and post journal entries for various financial transactions.• Reconcile accounts and bank statements to ensure consistency and resolve discrepancies.• Analyze and report on financial data related to real estate and franchise operations.• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to create and maintain financial reports.• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures.• Identify opportunities for process improvements within manual accounting workflows.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management. • Proficiency in month-end close processes, general ledger management, and journal entries. • Strong skills in account reconciliation and bank statement analysis. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and data analysis. • Familiarity with real estate and franchise accounting practices. • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a manual accounting environment. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve discrepancies efficiently. • Effective communication skills for collaboration with various teams and stakeholders.
