Accounts Payable Clerk
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in New York, New York. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a crucial role in managing invoice processes and maintaining accurate financial records. This role is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills and a commitment to ensuring timely and accurate payments.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process a high volume of invoices on a weekly basis, ranging from 50 to 100.<br>• Accurately input financial data into accounting systems to maintain precise records.<br>• Ensure timely payment of invoices to vendors and suppliers.<br>• Utilize basic knowledge of Excel for tracking and reporting purposes.<br>• Perform account reconciliation to resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy.<br>• Code invoices correctly according to company policies and procedures.<br>• Conduct check runs and manage payment schedules efficiently.<br>• Collaborate with team members to address any payment-related issues.<br>• Maintain organized records for auditing and compliance purposes.<br>• Work with various accounting software systems such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.<br>• Proficiency in processing invoices and performing data entry tasks.<br>• Familiarity with account reconciliation and coding invoices.<br>• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial tasks.<br>• Experience with accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, or SAP.<br>• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.<br>• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.<br>• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
