Sr. Accountant
<p>We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in Merced, California. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to play a key role in managing critical accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting processes, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all financial activities are completed accurately and on time.</p><p>• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accurate financial reporting.</p><p>• Prepare and post journal entries to document financial transactions.</p><p>• Conduct account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data.</p><p>• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.</p><p>• Utilize QuickBooks to manage and track financial records efficiently.</p><p>• Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.</p><p>• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of accounting operations.</p>
<p>• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting with a focus on general ledger and financial reporting.</p><p>• Proficiency in managing month-end close processes and preparing journal entries.</p><p>• Strong expertise in account and bank reconciliations.</p><p>• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and other accounting software.</p><p>• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in financial records.</p><p>• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address discrepancies effectively.</p><p>• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.</p>
