We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in Merced, California. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to play a key role in managing critical accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting processes, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members. Responsibilities:• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all financial activities are completed accurately and on time.• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accurate financial reporting.• Prepare and post journal entries to document financial transactions.• Conduct account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data.• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.• Utilize QuickBooks to manage and track financial records efficiently.• Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of accounting operations.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting with a focus on general ledger and financial reporting.• Proficiency in managing month-end close processes and preparing journal entries.• Strong expertise in account and bank reconciliations.• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and other accounting software.• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in financial records.• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address discrepancies effectively.• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
