Cash Application Specialist
We are looking for a skilled Cash Application Specialist to join our team in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced wholesale distribution environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in handling cash applications and resolving unapplied transactions while maintaining excellent communication with customers.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process cash applications efficiently, ensuring accurate allocation of payments to customer accounts.<br>• Investigate and resolve unapplied cash transactions, collaborating with customers to address discrepancies.<br>• Communicate with customers professionally to handle payment inquiries and provide timely resolutions.<br>• Utilize accounting software systems and tools to manage accounts receivable processes.<br>• Support customer setups by coordinating with banks and ensuring proper documentation for payment drafts.<br>• Perform data analysis to identify trends and discrepancies in cash activity.<br>• Collaborate with team members to streamline billing and automated clearing house (ACH) functions.<br>• Maintain accurate records of cash transactions and ensure compliance with company policies.<br>• Leverage Salesforce or similar CRM platforms to enhance customer communication and payment tracking.<br>• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the cash application process.
• Proven experience in cash application processes and accounts receivable functions.<br>• Strong ability to research and resolve unapplied cash transactions.<br>• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers.<br>• Familiarity with accounting software systems and tools such as CyberSource and Epic.<br>• Knowledge of automated clearing house (ACH) and billing functions.<br>• Experience with Salesforce or similar platforms is preferred.<br>• Understanding of banking draft processes and customer setup procedures.<br>• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
