Project Cost Controller
We are looking for a skilled Project Cost Controller to join our team in Huntersville, North Carolina. This long-term contract position requires someone with strong attention to detail who excels in managing financial aspects of construction projects and ensuring accurate cost allocation. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership abilities, effective communication skills, and expertise in cost accounting to support project success.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Monitor and analyze project budgets to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.<br>• Develop and maintain standardized cost structures for construction projects.<br>• Assess and allocate expenses across multiple plants and projects, ensuring efficiency and precision.<br>• Prepare detailed documentation to support financial decisions and maintain compliance.<br>• Collaborate with project teams to address cost-related challenges and implement effective solutions.<br>• Lead efforts in change management to optimize financial processes and project outcomes.<br>• Provide regular updates and insights to stakeholders regarding cost performance and forecasts.<br>• Travel as required to project sites and collaborate with on-site teams.<br>• Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures throughout project execution.<br>• Support the financial aspects of a $75 million construction initiative across two plants.
• Proven experience in project cost control and cost accounting.<br>• Strong knowledge of expense allocation and cost allocation processes.<br>• Familiarity with financial management in construction projects.<br>• Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.<br>• Excellent leadership and communication skills to guide teams effectively.<br>• Proficiency in preparing and maintaining financial documentation.<br>• Knowledge of change management principles and practices.<br>• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
