This is a long-term contract opportunity, ideal for someone who thrives in managing financial tasks across multiple projects and departments. The role involves working in the construction and landscape industry, ensuring accurate accounting practices, reconciliations, and cost allocations. Responsibilities: • Perform accrual-based accounting, including managing prepaids and journal entries.• Oversee month-end reconciliations and closing processes to ensure financial accuracy.• Utilize advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables, lookup formulas, and percentage calculations to analyze data effectively.• Handle lease and purchase payments for vehicles, ensuring proper balance and documentation.• Manage insurance payments, accrual setups, and journal entries with precision.• Allocate costs across nine departments using sub-codes in the general ledger to maintain clarity.• Track and manage financial aspects of approximately 20 commercial and projects.• Collaborate with teams to disburse costs by percentage and ensure compliance with project budgets.• Maintain flexible and adaptable communication to support cross-functional tasks and team dynamics.

• Proven experience in project and construction accounting.• Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and reconciliation processes.• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas.• Familiarity with journal entries, prepaids, and general ledger management.• Ability to manage financial aspects of multiple projects simultaneously.• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.• Effective communication and adaptability to work with diverse teams.
