We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role involves a variety of accounting tasks, with a focus on accounts payable and financial reconciliation. The position is contract-based, lasting 1 to 3 months, with the possibility of extension or transition to a permanent role. Responsibilities: • Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely payments. • Manage accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and payment tracking. • Perform account reconciliations to verify financial data and resolve discrepancies. • Handle billing functions, preparing and reviewing invoices for clients or vendors. • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards. • Assist with general accounting tasks, such as journal entries and ledger maintenance. • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures as required. • Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. • Provide accurate reporting and analysis to support decision-making within the organization.

• Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.• Strong understanding of billing functions and account reconciliation.• Proficiency in accounting software and tools.• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.• Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.• Familiarity with general accounting principles and standards.• Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
