Cost Accountant
<p>We are looking for an experienced Cost Accountant to join our manufacturing team in Georgetown, Kentucky. This role is integral to ensuring precise financial reporting and operational success by managing cost structures, analyzing inventory, and supporting supply chain decisions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in Excel, and a solid background in standard cost accounting.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><p>• Create and maintain standard cost structures, including developing cost components such as Bills of Materials (BOM), routing, and labor/overhead rates.</p><p>• Set up and update part numbers while ensuring Bills of Materials remain accurate within company systems.</p><p>• Conduct quarterly updates for standard costs of purchased parts and reconcile discrepancies.</p><p>• Oversee quarterly physical inventory counts across multiple locations and address any variances.</p><p>• Track and analyze inventory trends, producing daily and monthly reports to support operational decisions.</p><p>• Prepare and review Purchase Price Variance reports to identify cost drivers and fluctuations.</p><p>• Deliver actionable supply chain analytics to assist in cost optimization and strategic planning.</p><p>• Work closely with operations and supply chain teams to ensure the accuracy of cost data and financial reporting.</p>
<p><strong><u>Qualifications: </u></strong></p><p>• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. </p><p>• Extensive experience in standard cost accounting, specifically within manufacturing environments.</p><p>• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and analytical tools.</p><p>• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.</p><p>• Familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOM) and inventory control processes.</p><p>• Knowledge of inventory analysis and reporting techniques.</p><p>• Preferred experience with ERP systems.</p><p>• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in cost accounting roles.</p>
