Payroll Specialist
<p>We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. In this long-term contract role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring payroll processes run smoothly, efficiently, and accurately for a large, multi-state employee base. This position offers a hybrid work schedule with two days onsite, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Oversee full-cycle payroll processes for over 2,000 employees across multiple states, ensuring compliance with all regulations.</p><p>• Validate payroll data, including tax calculations and deductions, to ensure accuracy and timeliness.</p><p>• Utilize a software for payroll processing and reporting, ensuring seamless system operation.</p><p>• Address and resolve payroll discrepancies, providing clear communication and solutions to employees.</p><p>• Collaborate with management to prepare payroll reports and analytics for strategic decision-making.</p><p>• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll laws, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulations.</p><p>• Manage payroll during high-demand periods, maintaining efficiency and accuracy under tight deadlines.</p><p>• Provide expertise on multi-state payroll requirements and processes, ensuring compliance across jurisdictions.</p><p>• Work independently as the sole payroll specialist in the department, managing all aspects of payroll operations.</p>
<p>• Minimum of 2 years of experience in full-cycle payroll processing.</p><p>• Proficiency in payroll systems.</p><p>• Strong understanding of multi-state payroll regulations and tax compliance.</p><p>• Experience managing payroll for over 500 employees, demonstrating attention to detail and accuracy.</p><p>• Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.</p><p>• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.</p><p>• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to address payroll inquiries.</p><p>• Familiarity with payroll system transitions and implementation is a plus.</p>
