Payroll Manager
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee comprehensive payroll operations for two subsidiary organizations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with extensive expertise in payroll processes, compliance, and multi-state payroll management. As this is a long-term contract position, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll execution while maintaining adherence to all applicable regulations.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage and process semi-monthly payroll runs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and state regulations.<br>• Handle all payroll-related deductions, including medical benefits, 401k contributions, reimbursements, and company matches.<br>• Perform onboarding tasks for new employees, including setting up time-off policies and benefit enrollments.<br>• Conduct variance analyses for payroll runs and ensure all journal entries are accurately recorded.<br>• Reconcile balance sheets related to payroll accounts, such as accrued bonuses, vacation, and 401k.<br>• Collaborate with benefits administrators and third-party providers to manage enrollments and payments.<br>• Calculate and process bonus payouts, including associated journal entries.<br>• Ensure compliance with state payroll tax accounts and assist with related audits or testing.<br>• Maintain oversight of payroll systems, including updates and testing for compliance.<br>• Provide support for 401k testing and compliance requirements.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience managing payroll operations.<br>• Proficiency in full-cycle payroll management, including processing, reporting, and compliance.<br>• Expertise in handling multi-state payroll for organizations with over 500 employees.<br>• Advanced knowledge of ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems.<br>• Strong understanding of payroll-related deductions and benefits administration.<br>• Proven ability to reconcile payroll accounts and prepare accurate journal entries.<br>• Familiarity with state payroll tax regulations and compliance testing.<br>• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills to ensure precise payroll execution.
