Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage and oversee daily accounting activities, including revenue recognition, reconciliations, payroll processing, and general ledger management.</li><li>Supervise month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.</li><li>Prepare for annual financial audits and assist with Form 990 filings in compliance with applicable regulations.</li><li>Collaborate with the Senior Director of Finance to develop monthly financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Ensure internal controls and compliance with relevant financial standards and practices.</li><li>Maintain and improve processes to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of daily financial operations.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred—or equivalent professional experience.</li><li>6-8 years of relevant professional accounting experience.</li><li>Prior experience in non-profit accounting is highly preferred (1-3 years).</li><li>Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, and internal controls.</li><li>Proficiency with accounting software and Excel; experience with fund accounting systems is a plus.</li><li>Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with finance staff, leadership, and external partners.</li></ul>Our client offers a hybrid-work schedule once trained, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plan contributions, and generous paid time off.
