Patient Care Coordinator
We are looking for a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator to join our team on a contract basis in Encinitas, California. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring smooth patient interactions, from scheduling appointments to maintaining accurate medical records. The ideal candidate will excel in communication, organization, and have a strong commitment to patient care.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including verifying insurance, collecting payments, and completing registration forms.<br>• Organize and maintain patient charts and medical records by scanning, filing, and updating necessary documents.<br>• Handle clerical tasks such as sending and receiving medical records, obtaining reports, and filling out required forms.<br>• Confirm insurance eligibility, secure authorizations, and document all relevant account notes.<br>• Schedule appointments, surgeries, procedures, and diagnostic tests, ensuring updates are communicated promptly.<br>• Review patient histories and medications to arrange pre-admission testing or obtain medical clearances.<br>• Facilitate communication between physicians, clinicians, and staff regarding patient concerns or scheduling needs.<br>• Keep reception and waiting areas clean and organized, while managing office supplies and restocking rooms.<br>• Follow physician directives, company policies, and maintain strict patient confidentiality standards.<br>• Respond effectively to emergencies and report any incidents to supervisors in a timely manner.
<p>• Proven experience in patient scheduling and coordinating medical appointments.</p><p>• Familiarity with handling patient medical records and ensuring their accuracy.</p><p>• Ability to verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations.</p><p>• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, including scheduling procedures and diagnostic tests.</p><p>• Excellent communication skills to assist patients and liaise with medical staff.</p><p>• Knowledge of pre-admission testing and medical clearance processes.</p><p>• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to company policies.</p><p>• Bilingual Spanish is a plus. </p><p><br></p>
