We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Elk Grove, California. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with tax regulations. This is a long-term contract position ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounting and payroll systems. Responsibilities: • Manage bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and balanced. • Oversee full-cycle payroll processing, including preparing and posting payroll entries. • Prepare corporate tax returns and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations. • Handle sales tax reporting and ensure timely submission to appropriate authorities. • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and consistency in financial records. • Enter and review journal entries to support month-end and year-end closing processes. • Utilize QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop for accounting tasks and financial management. • Collaborate with the team to streamline accounting processes and enhance operational efficiency. • Provide support for audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience with a focus on precision and accuracy. • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop. • Strong knowledge of corporate tax return preparation and sales tax regulations. • Experience with ADP payroll systems and full-cycle payroll processing. • Familiarity with bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
