We are seeking a Senior Accountant with strong experience in the construction industry to join our client in Concord. This is a temp-to-hire position, offering an opportunity to transition into a permanent role based on performance and business needs. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of construction accounting principles, job cost reporting, and progress billing. Key Responsibilities <ul><li>Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.</li><li>Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and supporting schedules.</li><li>Maintain and reconcile job cost records, work-in-progress (WIP) reports, and contract billings.</li><li>Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for multiple construction projects.</li><li>Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and project-specific accounting requirements.</li><li>Collaborate with project managers and estimators to ensure accurate financial tracking.</li><li>Assist with year-end audits and coordinate with external auditors.</li><li>Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting accuracy and efficiency.</li></ul> Please reach out to John Miller for immediate consideration.

<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.</li><li>5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.</li><li>Strong knowledge of job costing, retainage, and progress billing.</li><li>Proficiency with construction accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, Viewpoint Vista, QuickBooks Contractor, or similar).</li><li>Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.</li></ul>
