<p>Our client, a well-established non-profit organization dedicated to community impact and program excellence, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team on a temp-to-hire basis. This is a fully remote position; however, <strong>local candidates are required</strong> to attend occasional onsite meetings and events.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Perform full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.</li><li>Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.</li><li>Manage restricted and unrestricted fund accounting in accordance with GAAP and grant guidelines.</li><li>Oversee monthly and quarterly close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.</li><li>Collaborate with program and development staff to track grant spending and budget performance.</li><li>Assist with annual audit preparation, compliance filings, and 990 support.</li><li>Maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure financial integrity.</li><li>Partner with leadership on forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.</li></ul><p><br></p>

<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA a plus.</li><li>5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within the non-profit sector.</li><li>Strong knowledge of fund accounting and donor/grant reporting.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or NetSuite preferred.</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills.</li><li>Must reside locally for periodic in-person events</li></ul><p><br></p>
