We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team on a contract with the potential for a permanent position. This role involves supporting financial operations by managing bookkeeping tasks, processing data entries, and ensuring accurate records are maintained. The position is remote, offering flexibility to work from your own computer, and is based out of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Responsibilities:• Enter eBay orders into QuickBooks Online and ensure accurate tracking of transactions.• Utilize Avalara tax software for data entry and compliance.• Prepare Excel reports based on Shopify sales data to monitor performance.• Build daily sales journals to maintain organized and up-to-date records.• Perform light bookkeeping duties, including reconciliations and revenue tracking.• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks efficiently.• Reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy in financial records.• Use Adobe and Dropbox for document management and storage.• Collaborate with the team to streamline data entry processes and maintain accuracy.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online for bookkeeping and data entry. • Experience with Avalara tax software for handling tax-related tasks. • Strong skills in Excel, particularly for creating and analyzing reports. • Solid understanding of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. • Ability to perform bank reconciliations with attention to detail. • Familiarity with Adobe and Dropbox for digital document management. • Excellent organizational skills to manage daily sales journals and financial records. • Reliable computer and internet setup to work remotely.
