Collections Specialist
<p>We are looking for an experienced Collections Specialist to join our team in Deer Park, New York. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing and resolving outstanding accounts while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment and make a meaningful impact.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Manage and monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.</p><p>• Communicate effectively with customers to resolve disputes and negotiate payment arrangements.</p><p>• Analyze customer accounts to identify trends and potential risks related to collections.</p><p>• Process and track payments while maintaining accurate records of all transactions.</p><p>• Collaborate with internal teams to address discrepancies and improve overall billing processes.</p><p>• Prepare regular reports detailing collection activities and account statuses.</p><p>• Follow established credit and collection policies to ensure compliance with company standards.</p><p>• Assist in reviewing and updating collection procedures to enhance efficiency.</p><p>• Respond promptly to inquiries regarding billing and account issues.</p><p>• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and account details.</p>
• Proven experience in commercial and consumer collections in a detail-oriented environment.<br>• Strong knowledge of credit and collections processes and best practices.<br>• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for resolving account issues.<br>• Proficiency in managing billing collection activities and maintaining accurate records.<br>• Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends impacting collections.<br>• Familiarity with relevant software tools and systems used in credit and collections.<br>• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.<br>• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards related to collections.
