In-House Attorney
<p>Join a growing legal team for an established and dynamic company located in Crofton, MD. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing legal matters related to real estate, landlord-tenant issues, and regulatory compliance. This position offers the opportunity to engage in diverse legal tasks and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure operational excellence. This role is HYBRID and will require 3 days in office. </p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Provide legal guidance on landlord-tenant matters, including drafting leases and resolving disputes.</p><p>• Oversee compliance with governmental regulations, ensuring all necessary licenses and permits are obtained and maintained.</p><p>• Manage external legal counsel and supervise the title transfer department.</p><p>• Mediate disputes involving commercial vendors, municipalities, and neighboring properties.</p><p>• Evaluate and address fair housing issues, including representing the organization before rent control boards.</p><p>• Review and assess easement requests while maintaining water and sewer infrastructure in collaboration with local utilities.</p><p>• Handle environmental disputes with tenants and government agencies.</p><p>• Develop and negotiate commercial vendor agreements and resolve related conflicts.</p><p>• Stay informed about evolving laws across multiple states to ensure ongoing compliance.</p><p>• Represent the company in property-related disputes and legal proceedings as needed.</p>
