<p>We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. This is a contract position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations within the restaurants and catering industry. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial data, reconciling accounts, and supporting daily cash management processes.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Perform daily cash reconciliations and verify transactions to ensure accuracy.</p><p>• Review and analyze sales data, identifying discrepancies and preparing adjustments as needed.</p><p>• Collaborate with restaurants to address sales, payment, and related financial issues.</p><p>• Generate reports on cash discrepancies and follow up on material adjustments.</p><p>• Utilize sales tools and delivery partner data to validate and reconcile sub-ledger entries.</p><p>• Prepare month-end accruals, adjusting entries, and financial statements for assigned accounts.</p><p>• Retrieve and analyze data to identify trends and propose process improvements.</p><p>• Validate the accuracy of internal sales data, making manual adjustments when necessary.</p><p>• Conduct account reconciliations and ensure compliance with financial standards.</p><p>• Support month-end close activities, including invoice reconciliation and processing.</p>

<p>• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.</p><p>• 2-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or business roles.</p><p>• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functionalities like pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and SUMIF.</p><p>• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.</p><p>• Ability to perform account reconciliations and analyze complex sales data.</p><p>• Familiarity with Oracle Cloud and other financial systems preferred.</p><p>• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</p><p>• Capable of prioritizing tasks and managing workload effectively.</p>
