We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team in Clifton, New Jersey, for a long-term contract position. This role is crucial in supporting budget season activities, including data entry, financial reporting, and profit and loss analysis. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in QuickBooks and Excel to efficiently handle accounting tasks and ensure accurate financial documentation.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Enter and maintain financial data in QuickBooks with precision and attention to detail.<br>• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss reports.<br>• Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.<br>• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.<br>• Record and review journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.<br>• Support the budgeting process by organizing and analyzing financial data.<br>• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting workflows and meet deadlines.<br>• Utilize Excel for data analysis and reporting tasks.<br>• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and practices.

• Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to budget-related tasks.<br>• Proficiency in QuickBooks for financial management and data entry.<br>• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data organization and reporting.<br>• Familiarity with accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger processes.<br>• Experience with journal entries and bank reconciliations.<br>• Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss reports.<br>• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.<br>• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
