We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Clarence, New York. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to contribute to financial operations and ensure seamless payment processing. The ideal candidate will excel in managing accounts payable functions while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities: • Process and verify invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies. • Manage account coding and proper allocation of expenses within accounting systems. • Utilize accounting software systems, including ERP platforms and Concur, to track and process payments. • Handle ACH transactions and ensure timely payments to vendors. • Perform regular audits of accounts payable records to maintain compliance and accuracy. • Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve workflows. • Prepare accrual accounting entries and reconcile accounts as needed. • Maintain organized documentation of financial transactions for reporting purposes. • Investigate and address vendor inquiries related to payment issues. • Support the implementation and optimization of automated clearing processes.

• Proven experience in accounts payable or related financial roles. • Proficiency in accounting software systems, including ERP platforms and Concur. • Strong understanding of account coding and accrual accounting principles. • Familiarity with ACH transactions and automated clearing processes. • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume transactions. • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to work collaboratively across departments. • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
