Office Assistant
<p>We are looking for a dependable and organized Office Assistant to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will provide comprehensive administrative support, ensuring smooth day-to-day office operations for an education-focused environment. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to work in a structured and collaborative setting. </p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting parents, students, and staff with inquiries and concerns.</p><p>• Manage administrative tasks, such as running credit card transactions and maintaining organized records.</p><p>• Utilize software platforms including Google Workspace and Aspen for efficient student data management.</p><p>• Answer and direct phone calls with courtesy, ensuring effective communication and proper phone etiquette.</p><p>• Support office operations by handling scheduling, correspondence, and other clerical duties as needed.</p><p>• Maintain a calm and composed demeanor during busy or high-pressure situations.</p><p>• Collaborate with team members to ensure a welcoming and efficient office environment.</p><p>• Uphold a business casual dress code while representing the organization in a competent manner.</p><p>• Monitor and restock office supplies to ensure operational continuity.</p><p>• Assist with special projects or additional tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor.</p>
• At least 1 year of experience in an administrative or office support role.<br>• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with parents, students, and staff.<br>• Proficiency in using Google Workspace and familiarity with Aspen or similar student management systems.<br>• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.<br>• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and organized under pressure.<br>• Strong attention to detail and a high level of reliability.<br>• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.<br>• Familiarity with basic office equipment and general office procedures.
