Credentialing Specialist
<p>We are looking for a Credentialing Specialist to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This Contract-to-Permanent position is ideal for an individual with strong attention to detail who can manage the credentialing, privileging, and insurance enrollment processes for healthcare providers. The role also involves supporting provider recruitment and onboarding while ensuring compliance with managed care agreements and regulatory standards.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Manage and maintain comprehensive credentialing files for all healthcare providers, ensuring accuracy and organization.</p><p>• Oversee the timely credentialing and re-credentialing processes, including tracking expirations of licenses, certifications, and privileges.</p><p>• Administer provider enrollment in insurance plans and maintain up-to-date information in credentialing databases.</p><p>• Process applications for provider privileges and collaborate with affiliated hospitals and organizations.</p><p>• Develop, negotiate, and monitor managed care agreements while analyzing financial aspects and recommending adjustments.</p><p>• Coordinate contract renewals, renegotiations, or terminations based on revenue and reimbursement analyses.</p><p>• Facilitate communication of fee schedules and contract updates to relevant departments and stakeholders.</p><p>• Partner with Human Resources and leadership to ensure smooth onboarding of newly hired and contracted providers.</p><p>• Monitor compliance with federal and state regulations applicable to health benefit contracts.</p><p>• Provide training and updates to staff regarding managed care developments and credentialing processes.</p><p><br></p><p>The salary range for this position is $28.00/hr. to $30.00/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Hired contract/temporary professionals are also eligible to enroll in our company 401(k) plan. Visit roberthalf.gobenefits.net for more information.</p>
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Human Resources, Business, or a related field.<br>• Strong knowledge of credentialing processes and healthcare provider enrollment.<br>• Experience with managed care agreements and reimbursement methodologies.<br>• Excellent organizational and analytical skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.<br>• Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and databases for credentialing.<br>• Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, hospitals, and managed care organizations.<br>• Familiarity with federal and state regulations related to healthcare contracts.<br>• Prior experience in provider recruiting and onboarding is preferred.
