Payroll Specialist
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role requires someone with strong attention to detail who can efficiently manage payroll processes while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will play a key role in supporting payroll operations for a mix of salaried and field employees, handling weekly payroll cycles, and assisting with reporting and tax-related tasks.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process weekly payroll for a workforce that includes both salaried and field employees.<br>• Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations, including the preparation of W-2s and 941 forms as needed.<br>• Collaborate with the accounting team to address reporting needs and analyze data related to payroll.<br>• Utilize payroll software to accurately input and manage employee payroll data.<br>• Assist with HR-related payroll tasks and ensure all processes align with company policies.<br>• Provide support in multi-state payroll operations, ensuring accuracy across various jurisdictions.<br>• Troubleshoot payroll discrepancies and resolve employee inquiries regarding compensation.<br>• Generate and review payroll reports to ensure data integrity and compliance.<br>• Work closely with the team to maintain standard operating procedures for payroll processes.<br>• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth payroll operations.
• Proven experience in full-cycle payroll processing, preferably with weekly payroll.<br>• Familiarity with payroll tax requirements, including W-2s and 941 forms.<br>• Proficiency in payroll software systems such as Paylocity or ADP Workforce Now.<br>• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll operations.<br>• Ability to manage payroll for both small and large employee groups.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and ability to adhere to compliance standards.<br>• Effective communication skills to collaborate with accounting and HR teams.<br>• Capability to work onsite in Charlotte, North Carolina, with a potential for hybrid flexibility depending on circumstances.
