We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. In this role, you will play a key part in managing corporate tax processes, ensuring compliance, and maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities: • Prepare and file corporate tax returns while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. • Manage and calculate sales tax obligations, addressing any discrepancies promptly. • Record and reconcile journal entries to maintain accurate financial data. • Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all accounts are balanced and up-to-date. • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders. • Conduct periodic audits to verify the accuracy of financial records and transactions. • Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. • Provide support during tax audits by gathering documentation and answering inquiries.

• Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and filing. • Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and compliance. • Proficiency in recording and reconciling journal entries. • Familiarity with general ledger management and financial reporting. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills. • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
